Hello All,
I recently signed up with AARP to start being able to use the card at Wags for extra discounts/RR's. I figured I might as well get out of denial about my age...took me nearly 2 years! Anyway, in the mail today, I got a small black crossbody purse w/adjustable strap. On the front in BIG letters is AARP... Hmmmm...so not only are they expecting ladies like myself to advertise for new memberships by carrying it around, but disclose our ages too, that we've reached the over the hill gang. PLLLLLLLLLLUUUUUEEEEESSSSEE...give me a break! Although it is useful, I am considering either using a black permanent marker to cover the white lettered AARP or using a big sticker...maybe one of my Joan River pins would work? Whatdoyouthink? ![]() |

Sending sympathies to you. Age 24 is too young for you to be advertising AARP.
I too am in denial about my age. I'm ... 25 ... ![]() |

Here is an interesting story about AARP. They may not be as senior friendly as they attest.

So following that "age logic" I can then say that I'm 4 yrs younger than you so that makes me 21! Oh Yeah! I'm busting out the grill and torch that card now! Us youngsters don't need no AARP cards at our age! I'm gonna stay up with them there owls and soar with those eagles...Woot! ![]() |

Some of them tried to ask questions They were polite She said this meeting is over and walked out. I don't need that kind of representation. |
