I went to walmart tonight and FINALLY found the breathe right strips. I was so excited that is started doing a jig!!! Hubby was giggling at me. I picked up (9) breathe right, (1) KY, and (1) Oral B floss. Went to find the Carpet Fresh only to find out the only kind they do sell is discontinued and they are getting a new smell in sometime next week. So that was a no go. I make my way to the counter will all my goodies. Cashier rings everything up and I had him my 11 Q's and he looks each one over...No biggie..I would want to make sure they are legit too if it was my job on the line. He than tells me he needs to get a CSM. I think no biggie needs to override a few things. Well about 15 minutes later he finds someone. I am thinking this person is off work cause she has her purse and her diet coke in hand. Well she comes over and proceeds to tell me that I can't use a Q on a travel size (talking about the breathe right) I show her that on the Q in states ANY breathe right 12ct or smaller, she than changes the story and says they can't take it cause the Q's value is higher than than the item. I pull out my coupon policy and show her they section on overage. She than says I am going to get someone higher up. Ok 2nd person comes and tells me can't take it cause its travel size and that is their Q policy, I than ask her to please show me in the coupon policy where it says that. She than says I am not touching this and says she is going to get someone else. By now I am severally irritated and getting more angry. Than a third person comes (2nd CSM Manager) She looks over the Q and says that I can use them, but it says "one per purchase" so I have to do 9 transactions..WHAT?????????? I tell her not each item is a purchase, and I tell her that if the Q says per visit or per transaction than yes it will have to be separated into 9 different transactions...THAN, get this she tells me that the per purchase means per transaction and that it is in their Q policy!!! I once again (3rd time now) ask her to show me in their Q policy where it states that. She said well it must not have been updated on the website yet this went into effect last March. I laughed literally laughed out loud and showed her on the bottom of the Q policy where it says and shows that the policy was updated 5/2011. She huffs and says well it has to be done 1 at a time. Tells the other CSM she has to stand there and over ride each transaction to give me .45 (after tax) overage. After the 3rd transaction the CSM just walks away and leaves me and the cashier just standing there. OMG...ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!!! Cashier finds a 4th person (Lisa, CSM which she rocked) and she looked at the Q and said you can ring it all up in one transaction. She says as long as the Q doesn't say 1 per visit or 1 per transaction it can all be rang up together. THANK GOD!! Someone who knew what they were doing. After all was said and done and 45 minutes later. I walked out with 9 packages of breathe right strips, 1 KY and 1 Oral-B floss and $3.35 in my pocket. I was still so pissed when I walked out of Walmart. AND SCENE!!

Oh and they also will get their stupid $1.50 as well as .12 per Q. So they made a $1.08 tonight too.

Sorry to hear that. Call & complain! Like you said they are making money from all these coupons so maybe they should invest it in educating their employees about coupons & their own policies.

I am going too. I haven't shopped much at walmart. I am starting to branch out of my comfort zone of Walgreens and CVS. But situations like that make me wanna stay in my bubble

Good for you for sticking to your guns!! I swear, out of all the places I shop, Walmart by FAR gives me the most trouble...their cashiers are rude and they come up with some of the most ridiculous excuses as to why they cannot accept coupons. Sheesh.

I have one Walmart that always gives me problems. Needless to say I don't shop there anymore. What gets me is that they expect their shoppers to know and follow their coupon policy but their own employees don't even know it!!

I totally understand how you feel. I think is it improtant to remember that this whole giving customers back cash is a new concept at WM. Okay, so we have been doing it for 9 months now, but still a relatively NEW concept for us as merchandisers. And we had it hammered in for so long that coupons had to be entered at the amount of the purchase. However, I found it funny that normal logic, as in layman terms, just didn't seem to work. Good job standing your ground, and not taking no for an answer!

Be sure to mention Lisa. The salaried manager can ask her about the incident and she can hopefully help educate her peers on their own policy!

Sounds like Lisa needs to train everyone else!
