I used a back pack. You can find all sizes and styles, with pockets and lots of space.

I got a Kathy Von Zeeland diaper bag when my youngest was born. It looked more like a large purse than a diaper bag. It was nice because it had a zipper on the top and no flap over the side. Isolde it came with a makeup bag, bottle holder, cell phone holder and a changing pad that all matched the bag.
I love it because unlike a diaper bag, I can still use it since it doesnt look like a diaper bag. I use it to pack up for a weekend trip or for spare clothes during a long car ride. I don't recommend California Innovations, their quality is terrible. |

Honestly, I'm not a huge fan of "diaper bags" since I think they're overpriced. I've found a nice backpack to be just as easy and convenient, and a lot less expensive. I've used on with my son, and I never had a problem with it.

Mine isn't name brand or anything but I got it online from Walmart. It has a decent amount of pockets and was only $20.00. I think anything more than $40 is a real waste of money. Nobody cares what your diaper bag is going to look like since they'll only be looking at your child.

I reallly found that the older Taylor got the less I wanted a diaper bag and the more I used a big purse. I could put her stuff and mine in it and so it was one less thing to carry.

I agree. I used a diaper bag for the first 4 months then I switched to a big Juicy Couture purse which I haven't used for a long time. I have a daughter so any of my large purses/totes works no matter style or color. |
