Default Do you ever just wish you didn't have to be so thrifty?

I have to rant for a minute...mainly because my kids are sick of hearing it...

Do you ever just get tired of always being short? And always needing to coupon and compare prices? And always worried about how much you spend and what is due when and if you will have enough?

I am blessed with a lot of things, but we are a one income family...my income. And while my husband is trying to find work and doing odd handyman stuff when he can - the money is few and far between. When I first started couponing it was because it was fun, not because I 'had to'.
It just feels like we have been struggling forever and there really is no end in sight.
I pray Lottery! But the sad truth is that even if I could afford to play, winning is slim.
I have read a million stories on here and other blogs of those that have it even worse and I too pray for them.

Just some times I feel like Screaming "Give me a break already!"

Thanks for listening.

I feel this way all the time. I want to go shopping just 21/2 hours away and it makes me so upset when I see someone take there fifth vacation of the year. Not jealous just wish I didn't have to work so hard for nothing.

I know the feeling you are talking about... or when you just get a little stashed away, and then the car needs attention, or the sump pump goes out, whatever, and then poof! your cushion vanishes and it is back up against it you go. I have no easy remedy, but I know even in my most overwhelmed moment, I have been grateful to have the skills and personal resources necessary to make it -- my family has never had to go without, in large part because I knew how to make due with less, where to find deals, how to make something into something else, etc.... imagine being as tight as you are and NOT having those skills and abilities. So try to flip it and have some pride and acknowledge that you are getting it done. Every day. Not easy and not tons of fun, but satisfying and more important than anything else you will do. Hang in there -- I hope things ease up a little for you -- a little breathing room now and then is a welcome relief. Until then, hang tough! You are awesome.
