So far I've purchased 9 hot wheel cats at dollar general on Black Friday. Any other affordable toy deals out there?

There is a coupon in yesterday's paper for free toys for boys (maybe kind of like transformers or something I am not up on toy names sorry). They sell for around $3 and with the coupon you can get them free. The coupons are trading for 0.30 or so.

Yes, deal is at Walgreens. Buy 2 get 1 free. They are Transformer Kre-o Kreon microchangers. They are super tiny and come in a tear-open foil type package. I think this is a great idea since they are free (except tax). Use 2 mq's with sale to get 3 free.

I don't have enough of a stockpile this year to do it but I will have by next year. My plan is to stockpile as much shampoos, toiletries, razors perfumes etc. and make up gift baskets for teenagers. Teenagers have it pretty rough in "The System" and I think baskets targeted at their needs good make a world of difference. CPS case workers aren't allotted very much money to get gifts for the children that they are in charge of. I intend to contact a few of them so they can give them where they are needed.
There is also a place called the Methodist Home in Waco that I will be donating to. Here is their information. Other Ways to Give Our ministry is made possible through the generous gifts of our benefactors and friends. Because of our non-profit status and positive relationships with local and national vendors, we are able to make many of our needed purchases at a reduced cost. For this reason, we prefer to receive monetary gifts to support our children and youth. However, we understand that some individuals and groups appreciate adding the personal touch by providing a gift of games, books, sports equipment or other household items. If you are interested in making a donation or learning more about the current needs at the Home, please contact the Development Department at 1-800-853-1272 or by e-mail at: development@mchwaco.org. Thank you for your support. Last edited by rivermutt2; 12-07-2012 at 11:36 AM.. |
