Oh my god, I just got back from walmart and Im FURIOUS!! I tried pricematching a few items and there first excuse was - "We cant pricematch from a discount food store (Save-a-lot)" and I said "You have a guarantee you have too." Then the cashier started getting an attitude with me, and at that point I was already fuming. So I told them to keep it. Then after she pricematched about 9 out of 20 items I gave her my stack of coupons and she said "We can't pricematch and allow you to use a coupon." And I just picked up my purse and said "Im just going to go elsewhere with my buisness." And started walking away and I heard him say "Thats your prerogative, we have plenty more customers then you." I really wanted to turn around and bust him in the mouth, but instead I just called corp, but he still works there.. Smh. I hate walmart. Have you guys had a bad experience?

I'll never forget buying a trial size bag of Cascade and using a 25 cent coupon (this was a few years ago before PG put the limits for trial size) and the cashier says this to me: "That's not fair!" Another cashier heard her and looked at her like she was from Mars. Haha!!

I once had a cashier say to me "let me guess, you have coupons", I smiled and said "Oh Yeah" He then breathed this snotty groan and said "I would never buy something I had to use a coupon for"...... WHAT? LOL. Oh well, I didn't let it bother me but I did tell him he should look into it.

I have been lucky so far with the cashiers and coupons. But, admittedly, since I have read so many horror stories about WalMart that I cautiously coupon there - I don't use a lot and I keep my trips small. However, my the biggest issues I have had have been with the floor employees, ask them for assistance and you would swear that you just ordered them to write a 30 page disertation on the meaning of life.

A few years ago I had a coupon for whatever off of seafood. So I picked up some frozen fish or shrimp, really cannot remember now. The cashier said that is not seafood. HUH>

Wow some of these stories make you wonder how these people made the decision like yes I should work with the public in a sales based position. I feel lucky enough that I have not had a bad experience at my Walmart, but stories like these make me avoid it like the plague. I only get things there when its a deal I know I cant get anywhere else.

I've always had a good experience at my Walmart store, but from what I read on a regular basis, some Walmart stores are challenging to shop at. Most of this is training related, employees don't know their job or the company policies, which upsets customers, and a company or a store is only going to be as good as it's employees. In your situation, I would have asked for the Store Manager, if that wasn't successful, then have the Store Manager provide me with the contact information for the District Manager. Corporate would be my last level of contact. The reason being, the local guys are better able to address local issues and local employees than someone in Arkansas. "With hurricanes, tornados, fires out of control, mud slides, flooding, severe thunderstorms and drought tearing up the country from one end to another, and with the threat of bird flu and terrorist attacks, are you sure this is a good time to take God out of the Pledge of Allegiance?" Sorry that happen. It also happens to me a lot, I really hate it when my Walmart won't let PM Save A Lot or ALDI. I try to find a really good checker who knows what they are doing. If they don't have to get a CSM then I'm going to find them the next time around. Today I PM with ALDI on Mushrooms and carrots and I didn't have any issues the checker knew what he was doing
