Hi everybody

I've started a Facebook page to help raise the money for my Mom's knee replacement operation. She has both knees replaced but she fell two years ago while we were moving from our old home. Hardheaded Drs didn't take the time to X-ray her knee when she went to ER wasn't until this past year that they actually X-rayed her left knee.

Told her it was severely broken so she scheduled the surgery to replace her left knee but two weeks before the surgery they told her that there would need to be a surgery deposit and her old Dr bills to be paid. Total was $500 well that might as well be $5,000 since only income right now is her Social Security Disability check. Now that its a new year, there is the added cost of Medicare deductible so now we need to raise $700.

So far we've raised $100 from donations and turning in the aluminum cans/scrap metal that we've collected since October. We are going to be putting donation jars in some local stores and we've put up flyers in town also.

I've set up a fundraiser page where people can donate if they want to help.

I was hoping that my fellow WUCkies could help by sharing my mom's story on Facebook.

Good luck. A very close friend of mine just had a benefit supper to raise money to help pay for her medical bills due to cancer. Maybe you could do that as well and post it on Facebook to you friends there as well.
