Happy Valentine's Day!

We usually do pretty simple things..Hubs is grilling steaks dinner. I sent a bonsai tree for his desk at work, it should be delivered today. I caught it on special for Valentine's Day delivery and used code for free shipping.

I started last wednesday, with a different treat a day in my dh lunch box. I packed in valentine baggies and included heart shaped napkins. Today a card. We have been through 34 together and both of us enjoy the simple everyday gestures more than one time a year blow out. One day this week he came in with pecan ice cream & 2 spoons. We sat on our back porch and ate it together and skipped the supper I had cooked (leftovers the next day ) Little things like that. He might bring me a candy bar out of the blue. Today probaly nothing because he has always said he does not need someone telling him to buy something to show me he loves me.....no wait a min he did get me something. This morning at 4:30 he washed the toliet & the tub & started a load of laundry. Not bad in my book!

working my magic on very little money

I'm going to get my mom and uncle a treat since in our house we're on a healthy life-style change (my mom - a sweet roll from Target. My uncle, an unsalted pretzel from Whole Foods - if they have). DH is getting Fig Newtons (since he was craving that last night) and some peanut rolls. Since I have a thing for Daniel Craig, I'm getting the new 007 movie. And not that I always get something for V-day, but since the movie came out yesterday, I'm getting it. If it came out last week, I would've gotten it.

Dinner is going to be steak and lobster for all of us - home cooked, of course. Too expensive to be going out on the day of and especially for four adults.

Other than that, we don't normally do anything much. DH and I pretty much spend a lot of time with each other and get whatever we want through out the year. Don't truly need a

Am I the only girl that hates Valentine's day????? It ruins my whole month I got wrestling tickets for me and my son (love wrestling- tomorrow night) Oh.....my husband bought himself a skidsteer. REALLY???? That's fair in life...I know I'm bitter.

Pumpkin, I despise Valentines day! People used to attribute it to being single, but nope, I'm engaged and still hate it! I got my fiancé a card and the new James Bond movie. He loves Valentines day, so I asked him what I was required to get so he wouldn't be mad at me. I bet he'll get me a card. I don't know.

I dont like it either... Just another way for stores to make money. Hubby isnt romantic used to bother me now I just dont expect anything. I might surprise him with white chocolate truffles ( only if my coupons arrive) haha

Getting hubby a video game and my oldest a little toy or something. lol. Still haven't picked anything up because hubby works and I dont like to take the kids out in the cold

I got a dozen multicolored roses. DH has bought me something plant related for everyone of our six Valentine's days together. He know I enjoy the multicolored ones. First year he bought me a bamboo plant shaped in a heart for my office. It died a year later. Last year he bought me another one since I loved it. It died, too! I can't grow bamboo! So, I got my roses yesterday, he said, so they'd be open and smelling pretty today. And they are!

I got DH an Amazon gift card since he gets all of his outlaw country and blues music from basically unknown artists from there. Plus, he has a Kindle Fire HD so I thought he could get some more apps. I'll be making him a strawberry jello poke cake with cool whip/instant pudding frosting. It's his favorite. Hope he will eat some. He sometimes avoids sugar...

We have a newborn. I pumped two bottles and told hubby all I wanted was 8 hours of sleep.. lol
