i cross stitch, but i REALLY want to learn how to sew, and to quilt

I mainly knit and sew doll clothes (barbies & 18-inch) for my twin nieces. Don't have much time to do it but I'm already gathering patterns for the Christmas break.......so if anyone has patterns lying around (esp. for the 18-inch dolls since they're getting these this Christmas) please share

I just started learning how to knit on Sunday... of course I only know one stitch (garnet) and don't know how to switch colors or anything yet, but it seems a lot easier than crocheting! I have a scarf in progress... no promises that it'll be ready for cold weather THIS year, but...

i sew, knit, make waldorf dolls, paper crafts, photography...i'll try anything! my mantra is i can make that!
