Default Let's take a Tour of a Frugal Person's Home - Utility Room, Laundry Room, Mud Room

I thought it might be fun to take a tour of a frugal person's home.

I have made separate posts for rooms you find in a typical home.

List below what you have in your frugal home or think you may find in a frugal person's home for this particular room.

Items such as yard sales, thrift store finds, dumpster dived, curbside shopped, or even hand-me-downs (furniture, etc.)

Feel free to share pictures if you want of rooms or items. Sort like a virtual tour and a show and tell all in one.

Zaycon foods sells boxes of chicken, fish, kielbasa, hot dogs, bacon, fruit and more (sales at certain time of year for your area. - Sign up is free to see when the sales are!). Signature and posts may contain affiliate links.

Our utility room serves as our laundry room and big pantry for my homecanned stuff and buckets of bulk items such as wheat berries I use to make bread, etc., oatmeal, etc. etc.

The pantry shelves in our utility/pantry were made by dh and uses recycled wood for them.

Many of the buckets were free from local bakeries. I also recently bought more from a lady in our church for $2 per bucket w/lid.

We have a front loading washer and dryer that dh bought me last year = not new but on sale and with free delivery plus I got some knocked off of it for a slight dent on the front of the dryer. They are more energy efficient, use less water and detergent as well.

I usually make my own powdered laundry detergent but also use cheaply bought detergent thanks to the ALL detergent coupons that were out not long ago.

I cut dryer sheets into 4ths to use. One strip works wonderfully for a regular sized load.

I use dryer sheets multiple times and all my shelves for my stockpile were free from hubby's job. I also use cut up boxes from work to store items on my shelves so that they're all nice and neat.
