Ok I was just up there not to long ago..
The new titanic museum is not expensive at all and a great place. Actually fun and informative, learn some things and see real artifacts and letters etc.. Logans is a great steak house and reasonably priced if u want areal good meal u can count on kwim... Don't forget ur cvs card for the crt scanner lol... The aquarium is awesome of course Nature trails would be pretty this time of year The biggest thing to save some cash is to stop first thing at the visitor center, that along with the hotel offices have millions of brochures and coupon books to save u a few bucks. And go to the mall in gaitlinburg, second floor I think, get u a 10 mins hydro massage. 10 bucks I think it was...so worth it and it is AMAZING Have a good time it will be packed for the fourth... |

Do you have any suggestions for traveling with children? We will be taking both boys, 5 and 22 months. Thanks! |

I was just going to recommend the suggestions from kristy81. I don't live that far from where your going I don't go that often because it's just too busy. Make sure you do stop at the tourist center and also look in all the stores for those coupon savings there is alot of them. The kids may like the Dixie Stampede dinner and show supposed to be reasonable priced as long as you don't buy the extras. If you do go toward Townsend there is a very private, short walk, to the seven sister's waterfalls- seven tiers, beautiful! There is alot in this area we have noticed many visitors over the past month or so, more than usual. I love the putt putt golf.

I love Gatlinburg..We try to go when there ISN'T a car show going on or a holiday.. We made the mistake going in Sept. when a big car show was going on and it took us 4 hrs to get from Pigeon forge to Gatlinburg..that is no joke..it was the worst time..Not sure how the holiday traffic will be..Hope you have a good time..there are so many fun things to do..I want to go back..we haven't been in about 3 yrs..We stopped in on the way back from Nascar Race (Bristol)...We just had to get a Caramel Apple from Mrs.Clause kitchen..but that doesn't count cause we didn't look around or do anything..Have a nice and safe trip!

Im not really sure if the prices are any good at the outlets..last time we were there I stuck to the cvs and walgreens doing my coupon shopping! DS was so mad! but hey! it was my vaca to so I was having fun
taking lil'ens that age, im drawing a blank on activities. they may like the black bear jamboree or that other animal show..comedy barn I think dancing dogs and suchas far as traveling with them.. plenty of cvs wipes that were free with the crt or baby wipes that are free right now, books, games, toys..something to keep them occupied ESPECIALLY in the holiday traffic up there! my 10 yr old drove me nuts and it wasnt bad as far as traffic... a cooler with drinks and snacks... stop at every rest stop to potty and run around the yard! oh and get brochures there too... |

NO! The waterpark is totally worth it! There is just enough to keep you interested, and with little kids, even more really! It has a great little area for the toddlers. It is laid out so well, that you don't get so tired from walking around. Also, make sure you take the kids and yours, bathing suits to Dollywood. There is a interactive water spot that the younger kids just love!

We are leaving for a week starting the 14th. We stayed in a cabin fron vrbo at Christmas, and it was great. This time we are staying at Hidden Mountain in Pigeon Vorge, and we really like it too. It has a awesome pool area.
I think eating places are fairly high there, but most are worth it. There is a IHOP, which is always a good choice price wise for little ones. I think, I'm not sure, but I think the World of Wonders is $35-$40 for adults?? We were going at Christmas, but changed our minds. WE plan to go to the Titanic this time. Enjoy! I know we will! We are counting the days! Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg is our favorite vacation spot! |

Here is my thread that I did in December- Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area Restaurant deals
Your boys would love the Foot Long corndogs at Fannie Farkles in Gatlinburg! It will be right on the sidewalk in the middle of it all. I love, love, love Apple Barn restaurant in Pigeon Forge for breakfast. I have pics of both of those places but they are on my flash drive which I left at work! My favorite place in Gatlinburg for breakfast is Log Cabin Pancake House. Now there are several in PF and Gatlinburg with the same name but this one is on Historic Nature Trail Rd...the French Toast Royale is absolutely to die for- http://dininginthesmokies.com/_gatlinb/dglogca1.jpg ![]() Go to the National Park to enjoy the animals and grab a tube from one of the rental places to tube! ![]() ![]() |
